The Cadets is one of the world's oldest and most honored continually operating drum and bugle corps with members ages 16 to 22 from all over the country and world. The corps was founded in Garfield, N.J. in 1934 as the Holy Name Cadets and has won 10 American Legion National Championships and 10 Drum Corps International World Championships. The Cadets travel an average of 15,000 miles nationwide each summer, competing and performing for hundreds of thousands of fans.

   is a regionally performing drum and bugle corps made up of approximately 128 young men and women ages 16 to 25 that competes in the Drum Corps Associates circuit. Founded in 2012 as a weekend-only alternative to the 10-time DCI World Champion Cadets nationally touring ensemble, Cadets 2 maintains The Cadets' standard of excellence while offering a more time- and cost- effective drum corps experience to young people in and around the Lehigh Valley.

USBands  serves as a competitive circuit for scholastic music programs nationwide, providing world-class performance venues and the best adjudication to tens of thousands of students. Each year, over 700 scholastic ensembles participate in 150 USBands-sanctioned events. The organization is divided into three seasonal departments: USBands Fall for competitive marching band, USBands Winter for competitive indoor color guard and percussion, and USBands Concert for symphonic festivals.

Xcape
  offers low-cost, comprehensive dance education to Allentown youth ages 6 to 22. Class offerings include ballet, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary/modern dance. Xcape aims to inspire and motivate students while fostering an appreciation for the arts. Instructors provide a fun and nurturing environment where students of all personalities and backgrounds can explore their creativity while learning valuable life skills such as teamwork, self discipline and work ethic.

Chad Heiny
Front Ensemble Supervisor, The Cadets

Chad Heiny is the Assistant Director of Bands and Percussion Specialist at both Kiski Area High School and Kiski Area Intermediate School in Vandergrift, PA. He has been the Assistant Director and Percussion Arranger for the acclaimed Kiski Area High School Marching Band since 2006 and is Director of Kiski's Cavalier Percussion Group, an auditioned ensemble who's outreach in the greater Pittsburgh area includes strong relationships with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and several local universities. Cavalier Percussion was also recently selected for the 2017 Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival. Chad earned a Master's Degree in Music Performance from Louisiana State University and Bachelor's Degree in both Music Education and Music Performance from Indiana State University of Pennsylvania. His teachers include Dr. Brett Dietz, Dr. Gary Olmstead, Mr. Frank Wickes and Dr. Jack Stamp. Since 2003, Chad has been the Front Ensemble Arranger or Coordinator for several DCI Finalist Drum and Bugle Corps. These ensembles include Spirit of Atlanta (2010-2013), Boston Crusaders (2009-2010) and the Glassmen (2003-2007). He has arranged and composed music for programs across the country and is currently the Battery Arranger for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) Marching Band and the Creative Consultant of the Pittsburgh Steeline. Chad's original works for percussion are published by Tapspace Publications. 

In 2016, Chad was added to Winter Guard International's Percussion Judge roster and spends his fall, winter and early spring months adjudicating not only for WGI, but circuits and associations nationwide. 

He resides just outside of Pittsburgh in West Leechburg, PA with his wife Nichole, son Christopher and their dog Cailey.
