Andy Warntz
Percussion Instructor, Cadets2

Andy Warntz began his marching career in 1992 when he joined The Cadets of Bergen County Front Ensemble at 15 years of age. He went on to become a member of The Cadets bass line, Holy Bass in 1996 and 1997 where he aged out playing bass one. Andy also spent two years in DCA marching with The Reading Buccaneers in 1994 and with the Bushwackers in 1995 playing bass one. In his marching career, Andy studied under many accomplished and legendary instructors including Steve Kieffer, Tom Aungst, Willy Higgins, Neil Larrivee, Skip Cassady and Dave Hall.

Andy has been very connected to The Cadets organization for the last 30 years. In 1985 his parents started volunteering on the food truck for the Garfield Cadets and he spent every summer as a kid from 1985-1991 going on tour and helping wherever he could. Since aging out of The Cadets in 1997 Andy has been an avid supporter of The Cadets and has been a strong consistent alumni representative to current corps members, especially the members of Holy Bass. Andy is also on The Cadets Hall of Fame committee representing the 90's decade helping to select members of the Cadets Hall of Fame.

Andy has taught and arranged for several high school marching bands and indoor drumlines in the South Central Pennsylvania area including Spring Grove High School, Red Lion High School, Bermudian Springs High School and most recently the award-winning New Oxford High School Marching Band. From 2006-2016 he was the Caption Head and Battery Arranger for New Oxford and helped lead them to win the Liberty Open Division Championships in 2009 and 2014 as well as high percussion in the Yankee Open Division in 2010 and Liberty Open Division in 2014 in the Cavalcade of Bands Association

Outside of drum corps and marching band, Andy has built a successful career with Republic Services and is currently the Manager of Municipal Sales for Republic Services in the counties of Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York, Pennsylvania. He's worked for Republic Services since 2005 and was a Sales Representative for five years, promoted to Business Unit Sales Manager in 2010, promoted to Division Manager in 2015 and was most recently promoted in July of 2017 to his current role as Manager of Municipal Sales. Andy has been married to his wife Deb since 1998 and they have two daughters, Cara (17) and Ally (15) who are also both percussionists. In 2014, 2015 and 2016, Andy enjoyed seeing his oldest daughter Cara march in Cadets2 front ensemble. In 2016 Andy joined the C2 percussion staff as a bass drum instructor and after winning DCA World Championships and High Percussion in 2016 with C2, he returned for the 2017 season. 2018 will be Andy's third year as a bass drum instructor for Cadets2
