Alex Cardona

Alex began his career in the music and arts at Alameda High School in Lakewood Colorado, performing with various concerts and marching ensembles. He went on to perform with the Blue Knights Open percussion ensemble in 2001, 2002, 2003, the Blue Knights World percussion ensemble in 2004, 2005, 2006 and the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps in 2004 and 2005. He was also a member of the 2005 DCI Individual and Ensemble Bass drum champions and has been a member of the NBA Denver Nuggets Skyline drumline since its inauguration in 2015.

Alex has taught percussion and visual at several Colorado high schools, including Lakewood High School, Alameda High School, Mountain Range High School, Ralston Valley High School, Overland High School, and Conifer High School. He was the program coordinator for the Evergreen High School finalist bands in 2012 and 2013.

Alex has been an educator in Colorado for over 15 years and has been fortunate enough to teach visual in DCI for the last nine years. He has taught several Drum and Bugle Corps, including High Country Brass in 2010, Blue Knights in 2010, 2011, 2012, Colts in 2013, 2014, 2015, Blue Stars in 2016 and The Cadets in 2017 and 2018. He was also the bass drum technician for the Blue Knights World percussion ensemble in 2012 and Visual Designer for the Altitude World percussion ensemble in 2015.

In 2018 Alex created to further support the marching arts and provide unique designs to help promote this amazing activity.

Alex is very excited to return to The Cadets in 2019 and would like to thank all the amazing educators, administrators, volunteers and everyone along the way for all their support and dedication.
