Kelly Young

Kelly is originally from Bellbrook, Ohio, where she graduated from Bellbrook High School. She currently lives in Westfield, Indiana and is the Physical Education and Movement teacher at Edison School of the Arts. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. After graduation, Kelly continued her education at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

While attending college, Kelly was a founding member of QuagMire Dance Company from Dayton, Ohio. At Case Western, she had the prestigious opportunity to work with retired Martha Graham dancer and Associate Artistic Director of the Martha Graham School, Diane Gray. Additionally, Kelly was given the opportunity to perform Pascal Rioult's "Bolero" and Martha Graham's "Primitive Mysteries." She also was selected to debut a nationally recognized and award-winning work, "Technotic Episodes" choreographed by Gary Galbraith. Kelly additionally had her work “Reviving Ophelia” chosen to be performed and adjudicated in New York at the American College Dance Festival.

Kelly currently is the movement choreographer and instructor at Carmel High School. Her previous teaching credits include Bellbrook HS, Centerville HS, Miamisburg HS, William Mason HS, Norwin HS, Broken Arrow HS, Zydeco Winterguard, Allegoria Winterguard, and Onyx.

When Kelly is not teaching, she enjoys being a Disney Travel Agent for MickeyTravels and spending time with her wonderful husband Kyle and her two year old Schnauzer mix named Walter.
