Rick Stetson is a professional musician and music educator located in the South Jersey area. He has been teaching with Youth Education in the Arts since 2013 and with many local high school and middle school programs since 2010.
Rick received a degree in Music Education from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University. During his time at Rutgers, Rick studied orchestral percussion with Joseph Tompkins and Kyle Zerna of the New York Philharmonic.
Rick is currently the General Music Teacher and Director of the Steelpan Ensemble at Northley Middle School in Aston PA. Rick's involvement with YEA! includes instructing the Cadets2 Front Ensemble in the 2014 and 2015 season and instructing Cadets Winter Percussion in the 2014, 2015, and 2016 seasons. His most recent involvement will be instructing The Cadets Front Ensemble for the 2018 season.
For the past two years, Rick has been the Assistant Marching Band Director and Director of Indoor Drumline at Cumberland Regional High School. In the past, Rick has been a percussion instructor at high schools around New Jersey including; Old Bridge, Woodbridge, Robbinsville, Edison, and Clearview Regional High School.
