Week three of USBands Indoor saw fierce competition at Fair Lawn High School in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Thirteen total percussion ensembles competed, as well as five color guard units.
DoubleB Independent once again claimed the top spot of the Independent Color Guard Winter - A Class with a score of 78.820. With a score of 77.130, Brien McMahon A Guard earned the high score in the Color Guard Winter - A Class. In the Novice Class, Elizabeth High School Indoor Color Guard and Bloomfield High School Guard battled it out for a close finish of 69.860 and 67.890, respectively. The hosting Fair Lawn High School Guard earned the high score in Regional A Class with a total of 76.620 points.
In the Marching Winter - A Class, home team Fair Lawn High School Percussion took first place with a score of 85.800. Marching Winter - Regional A Class saw the most competition with five units performing to take the top spot. Roxbury High School Percussion eked out the first place score of 80.100 with West Milford Percussion coming in a close second with a score of 79.650. Ridge High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble earned the first place title in the Standstill Winter - A Class with a score of 77.900. The Fair Lawn High School JV Percussion brought home the top spot in the Standstill Winter - Middle School with a score of 68.800. Somerville High School Percussion took the top spot for Standstill Winter - Novice Class while Elizabeth High School Percussion Ensemble earned top honors in the Standstill Winter - Regional A Class.
"What an amazing show we saw at Fair Lawn this past weekend!" said USBands Director, Steve Petzinger, "19 groups total competed and it was really a great event. This week, USBands has two shows, Old Bridge, NJ and Stamford, CT. We are very excited and look forward to seeing you there!"
