The second week of USBands Fall competition took place over the weekend with 11 shows. Competitions ranged in size from five groups to 16 with shows in New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia. Most shows had the good fortune of sunshine and clear skies, with the exception of those at Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ. While the performers were soaked, you can expect to see some great photos over on our Facebook page of the event. Many of the competitions were extremely close in both scores and caption awards: check out the full list of scores from this weekend by clicking the button below!
A total of 113 bands competed in our second weekend, and even more will take the field next weekend as we host 16 shows in six states. Unfortunately, due to the extreme weather from Hurricane Harvey, we have been forced to cancel the USBands Houston Step-off in New Caney, Texas. As the schools rebuild and residents of the Lone Star State return to a sense of normalcy, the start of USBands competitions have been pushed back one week to September, 30.
