Zildjian & Vic Firth Company and YEA! Announce Four Year Agreement

 

IMG 8988The Zildjian & Vic Firth Company and Youth Education in the Arts (YEA!) are delighted to announce they will take their partnership into it’s fourth decade as the two organizations signed a landmark four-year partnership agreement through the 2020 marching band and drum corps seasons.

“Zildjian and Vic Firth have been the exclusive cymbals and drum sticks and mallets for the premiere organizations of YEA! since the 1990’s,” said George Hopkins, CEO of YEA! in announcing the agreement. “We have been fortunate to be a part of the Zildjian and Vic Firth family for decades and the commitment endures as we continue to set the standard for percussion excellence throughout the marching activity.”

Neil Larrivee, Vice President of Education & Drumstick Product Development said in sharing the news of the partnership extension, “The uninterrupted history shared between The Cadets, Zildjian and Vic Firth is virtually unprecedented. Both of our brands began their commitment within the Drum Corps activity decades ago with this legendary drum corps and the successes we have shared together are unparalleled. Additionally, we feel that the mission of YEA! resonates profoundly with our company values and look forward to many more years of success, together!”

As a centerpiece of the agreement, the 10-time DCI World Champion Cadets and 2016 DCA World Champion Cadets2 will perform exclusively with Zildjian and Vic Firth products, while the Zildjian and Vic Firth will remain the exclusive cymbals and gongs and drum sticks and mallets respectively for USBands, the nation’s largest independent scholastic service organization. Additionally, the Zildjian & Vic Firth Company retains the naming rights to the Zildjian & Vic Firth Indoor Percussion Series and Championships Presented by USBands for the duration of the agreement.

Zildjian and Vic Firth will also be developing innovative promotions and content with the YEA! programs for use in social media and digital marketing to closer align both organizations in the ability to excite and engage young percussionists. Watch for shared content on both partner’s corporate and social media sites as well as activations throughout The Cadets and USBands events and tour appearances.
