For the first time in the 30 year history of USBands, the season will end with three National Championships sites, two of which have hosted huge events, including the Super Bowl, in recent years.
On November 3 & 4, A Class bands will converge on venerable J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown, PA for the 2018 USBand A Class National Championships for two full days of competition for up to 90 bands. Schools from across the nation will end their season in traditional style in the stadium that marching bands and drum corps have called home for over six decades.
The following weekend, world class NFL stadiums in New Jersey and Texas will be the sites to bring a close to the 30th anniversary season with Championship events on Saturday, November 10.
MetLife Stadium, home to the New York Giants and New York Jets, in E. Rutherford, NJ will be the site for the 2018 Open Class National Championships. The conclusion to the season in this spectacular venue brings USBands home again, as the initial Cadets Marching Band Cooperative Scholastic Championships were held in 1988 in Giants Stadium, just a few hundred yards from where this year's performers will compete. There are only 65 performance opportunities at this event, so the time to register is now for bands to reserve a spot in this spectacular event.
Meanwhile, AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, will host the 2018 USBands National Championship: Western Edition on the same second Saturday in November. Schools from across Texas, the Midwest and Southwest will participate in this instant classic in one of the most amazing indoor football facilities in the world. Giant video screens and guest amenities abound in a venue to match the high quality marching programs which will compete in this event. 50 performance opportunities are available with pre-registration available until March 2.
