2019 Hall of Fame Committee Now Accepting Nominations

Created on Friday, 08 Mar 2019 14:10:42

The 2019 Hall of Fame Committee is excited to announce that they are accepting letters of nominations for 2019 inductees. From now until April 15, Cadets alumni have the ability to write letters of nomination and support in honor of those who they truly feel have made a positive impact on the organization.

"We're very excited for things to get underway," said Committee Chairman George Lea. "It's really important to us that things be fair and transparent."

Other Hall of Fame Committee members includes Jeff Sacktig, Rich "Scott" McGarry, John Day, Judy Ulchinski, Andy Warntz, Ken Samara, Ashley Swengler, Jim Messina, Christen Fleming, Dave Helms and David Dumont. The members of the committee represent Cadets from several decades and have placed special emphasis on the inclusion of Cadets from all eras of the organization.

To nominate one of your fellow Cadet alumni, please email cadetshall@yea.org with your letter of nomination or letter of support. After the committee receives the nominations, they will review the submissions to make sure that those who are nominated are eligible to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. After the nominees are reviewed, their letters of nomination and support will be posted online for additional alumni to comment on their support for candidates. Following this time, the committee will meet again to choose the Class of 2019, wherein they will be announced and introduced at Drum Corps: An American Tradition - Allentown, one of The Cadets' home shows this summer.

For a full list of rules for nomination and selection of the Class of 2019, you can view the Hall of Fame bylaws here.
