Xcape HalloweenOn Saturday, October 14 XCAPE Dance Studio was a part of the 2018 Allentown Halloween Parade that included marchers, floats and dance performances. Taking place at the Allentown Fairgrounds, a crowd of about 10,000 people turned up to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Halloween season under a mix of sun and clouds. This year's theme was "Storybook Favorites" with marchers and performers dressed as both heroes and villains from classic and contemporary stories.

The parade was established in 1905 and is allegedly one of the oldest in the country. Performing along with Small Steps, Big Dreams as well as marching bands from around the area, XCAPE received a stipend for participating, which will be used to help further the quality of programming we can bring to dance students in the Lehigh Valley.

towsonTowson University will be the site of a super-sized State Championships on Saturday, October 20 featuring 40+ bands from throughout Maryland and Virginia as they compete for State titles against top competition in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Jon Swengler, Director of USBands said in announcing the event, "We are fortunate to have a partner in Towson University that gives us a fantastic collegiate environment for our students and parents to perform and enjoy a great day of band competition. 2018 is not the first time we have brought the top bands in Maryland and Virginia together in one location to compete for their State titles before an A-list of the best pageantry arts adjudicators in the nation. We are looking forward to another remarkable day for the USBands as we continue with our 30th Anniversary Celebration."
