USBands is thrilled to announce its partnership with e-Adjudicate.
e-Adjudicate is an interactive platform that “provides access to valuable feedback from industry professionals that enables individuals and ensembles, regardless of geographic location or budget constraints, to improve their performance qualities and develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their educational and competitive goals.” Through this Powered Bypartnership with e-Adjudicate, USBands will proudly offer USBands U-Learn, for the purpose of training and certifying its legion of adjudicators.
USBands is taking this step as part of its commitment to directors, further insuring that the circuit will have fantastic adjudication. Adjudicators for USBands events will be required to complete the first course this year. By implementing this requirement, USBands feels its adjudication throughout the season will move in the right direction of becoming more consistent and comparable across events.
“We are very excited to be partnering with e-Adjudicate to take this important step towards the goals of our three-year strategic plan,” stated Jon Swengler, Director of USBands. “We have promised the band directors in our program that this year we would focus on safety for all, stability of events and procedures, adjudication, and improved communication. We have already made significant progress in these areas and we will have even more updates to share in the coming weeks.”
USBands U-Learnwill also give directors the opportunity to educate themselves about the adjudication process and will become more informed on what and how they are being adjudicated. In addition, directors will have the opportunity to upload ensemble performance or rehearsal footage for online feedback from our adjudicators. This valuable tool will allow ensembles to be as prepared as possible for the upcoming season.
“The bottom line is that now USBands' adjudicators will have the educational support to grow and enhance their skill sets. This is a win-win for all, the adjudicators, the band directors and most importantly the performers," said the excited USBands’ Adjudication Coordinator Eric Kitchenman. "e-Adjudicate is built to be user friendly and paced to complete at your leisure. The e-Adjudicate team brings the finest on-line education platform for adjudicators and directors around the country. They have a great record of success.”
USBands is committed to excellence and continues to take steps every day to demonstrate that to its members.
