Meet the 2016 Section Leaders

With the first audition just weeks away on November 20-22, The Cadets Staff is pleased to announce the section leaders for 2016. Each of these young men and women has learned to represent the organization's standard of excellence both on and off the field. They are kind, talented individuals who lead their peers by example, and they are looking forward to meeting each and every student who comes out to audition and making them feel included and welcome.

Returning Drum Major Kendall Stevenson shared her thoughts on the upcoming season: "There's a great leadership team in place, and while many of them are new to the team, they are all three-plus-year veteran members, so I am confident that they'll provide great things for the drum corps. There have been a handful of changes to the staff and design team, and I'm very interested and excited to see what they can bring to our organization. As this is my fourth and final year with The Cadets, I have no doubt in my mind that we will have a strong drum corps and fantastic turn-out at the November Combined Audition. Come check it out and see what it's like to be a Cadet for a weekend, or better yet, a lifetime. 2016 will be nothing short of phenomenal, I'm sure!" she said.

Kendall's counterpart on the podium, MK Raplinger, shared her wholehearted enthusiasm. "The start of our 2016 season can't come soon enough! We've got a great team lined up to lead this fantastic corps toward new territory and through another magnificent year, and we can't wait to get started," she said.

And each section's leaders are just as ready to dig into rehearsal next month. "I'm really excited for an another amazing season with this hornline," said Mellophone Section Leader David Flyr. "We're bringing a fresh perspective to the field that's going to make this season an unforgettable one for The Cadets," he said.
