Kirstin is ecstatic to be here for her third summer with The Cadets. Kirstin grew up in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania where she began her color guard and marching career in 2004, until she graduated in 2010. During this time she spent four summers marching with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps. She was a part of the original visual ensemble for Matrix Percussion in 2011 and 2012. Most recently she marched with Onyx World in 2015.
Kirstin would begin teaching at Mechanicsburg in 2008 through 2013 when she then moved to Ohio. Once in Northeast Ohio she began working with the Norton band program and started the winter guard programs, building them for five years. She has taught, designed and consulted for various ensembles throughout the east coast and Midwest, including Collage Winter Guard, O’Fallon Township, Penn State Indoor Drumline, Pioneer, Penn High School, and Artistry IN Blue. Kirstin also does visual design and movement technique for Cap City Percussion out of Columbus, Ohio.
When Kirstin isn’t doing anything marching arts related she enjoys hiking and studying nutrition. She has a degree in Education and Graphic Design from Kent State University.
