The 2016 season will be Craig Walker’s tenth with The Cadets, having served as a brass instructor since 2007.
Craig currently resides near London, England with his girlfriend Kerrie and has over 25 years of European drum corps experience. In 1988, he began his marching career as a soprano player with the Dagenham Crusaders. He then moved to the Blue Eagles where he transitioned to the mellophone and marched in the brass line from 1989 to 1992 and again from 1995 to 1996.
Craig then traveled to the United States to become a Cadet. He aged out of the mellophone section in 1996.
Craig began his teaching career in 2000 with The Senators. There he held the position of brass caption supervisor until 2008 and during this time won DCUK High Brass on six occasions along with a DCE High Brass award.
In 2009 and 2010 Craig took on the role as brass caption supervisor for the Dagenham Crusaders. This project was initially set up as an alumni corps which led to them returning to the competitive arena. Since 2011 he has served as a consultant for the Black Knights.
