Xcape Dance Studio, a program offering of Youth Education in the Arts, appeared on PBS39 in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey Tuesday night, March 1, 7:30 p.m. But don't worry! If you missed it, you can catch the re-broadcast Sunday and Monday.
On Friday, February 26, YEA!'s Director of Development, Sean King, and Director of Marketing, Amanda Malmgren, made the short drive from center-city Allentown to the PBS studio at the Steel Stacks in Bethlehem to work with producer Laura McHugh on some interviews for the Focus segment.
"The recording was fun," Malmgren said. "It's important that YEA! shares our local program activity with both our national audience and our community. PBS39 is a great community resource within the Lehigh Valley, so it was a no-brainer to collaborate with them and highlight this vibrant program."
The story will highlight Xcape Dance Studio which offers low-cost, after-school dance instruction to over 200 urban youth of all ages at the YEA! office headquarters on 6th Street and Hamilton downtown. YEA!'s Sean King will make an appearance to talk about Xcape and discuss YEA!'s other program offerings as well.
"We hope to continue to partner with PBS39 in the future, as we actively foster relationships with local organizations in the Lehigh Valley community," Malmgren said.
Tune in to watch Xcape's TV spotlight! The broadcast will air again on Sunday, March 7 at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and on Monday, March 8 at .11 p.m.
