About USBands Concert
The USBands Concert Series brings scholastic wind ensembles, concert bands, orchestras, jazz ensembles and choral groups into the world’s finest performance venues.
Each ensemble is evaluated in a non-competitive environment by renowned music educators and conductors, receiving private clinics and masterclass sessions as part of these once-in-a lifetime performance opportunities.
Launching in 2014 with one single event in downtown Philadelphia, USBands Concert brought over a dozen high school concert ensembles together for a full-day festival experience at the highly acclaimed Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. In 2017, USBands is proud to feature four events in four of the world’s finest performance venues
Evaluators at USBands Concert Festivals provide positive, constructive digital commentary for both students and directors, as well as performance ratings at the director's discretion. After their performance, each ensemble adjourns to a private room to spend an additional 20 to 30 minutes with a guest clinician.
“I believe these type of educational experiences can change the landscape of instrumental music. It’s clear you guys are going full tilt on making USBands a real contributor to our world, and I applaud your efforts.” - Ben Goldsborough, Director of Bands, Mechanicsburg Area High School
“I look forward to my involvement with this distinguished enterprise this year.” - Mark Camphouse, Composer-Conductor & Professor of Music, George Mason University
YAMAHA Performing Artist:
“This is the second year I presented a Percussion Clinic for the USBands Concert Series. The event is perfect for students to get hands-on time with a professional who speaks their language. The students were so excited and asked so many questions that my session could have lasted three hours!” - Professor Dean Witten, Director of Percussion Studies, Rowan University and YAMAHA Performing Artist
